Thank you note
Dear Vacation,
Thank you so much for the opportunity to be with my best friends, play in the sun, relax on the beach and simply enjoy life. I really appreciate the yummy food too. The gummy bears, wine, Doritos, pita chips, plastic cheese, beer, fried pickles and vodka were to die for. You were the consummate hostess- glasses always filled, plates of white trash delicacies at every turn. Oh what a joy!
However, my pants barely fit, my tummy is bulging and I am exhausted by the amount of water I need to drink just to pee.
Good bye for now. May we meet again soon. Next time, I'll bring the veggies and fruit.
Sincerely,
Ten Pounds Heavier & Ready for a Cleanse in AZ

Vigilance
As I was sitting on the beach yesterday I was watching a young family play in the crashing waves. I couldn't help but hear the anxious mom warning her son's of the current and power of the ocean. The boys played for hours dashing in and out pausing only at the calls from mom to be careful or come get some more sunscreen on.
The good mom's vigilant efforts were clear: safety first. Think
of how often you prioritize safety. Seatbelts. Crossing the street (I still hear my mom's voice ... look both ways... with her armpit death grip on me.) Locking your doors, stranger danger... the list goes on and on. But what about our health and the precautions we take?
Do we just keep eating junk, poisoning ourselves with sugar and chemicals just expecting our bodies to take it? Where's our vigilance?
If you're proactive in other ways for yourself why not what you eat or put on yourself too? Look both ways on a menu or list of ingredients.Do you see the danger coming toward you or are you just hoping that it is far enough away that you can " make it."
You would never feel deprived of the experience of a car hitting you. Face your health with the same vigilance. You aren't depriving yourself. You're saving yourself from the sugar, caffeine, chemical bus that's heading your way.
Keep looking both ways and be vigilant!

Here we go!
Just days to go until the KICKOFF OF OUR FIT & FABULOUS IN 30 DAYS program begins!
Here's what you can do to ramp up, get ready, and be ready to roll on April 1st.
Here's what you can do to ramp up, get ready, and be ready to roll on April 1st.
- Clean out the "junk" around your house- purge your cupboards, refrigerator and work space of unhealthy foods.
- Shop for deals on the non-perishable foods that you will be living on...organic grains such as brown rice and quinoa, shelf stable Almond, Rice or Coconut milk to name a few.
- Bargain spots for organic products:
- Winco
- Sprouts
- Trader Joe's
- Costco
- Fry's
- Start mentally shifting toward how important your health is- this will help combat the blues of missing sugar, caffeine and alcohol. When you see them as poisons their less likely to be a craving.
- Educate yourself on animal rendering plants, inflammation caused by sugar and the effects of stress on our acute and longitudinal health.
Take a second to appreciate you. Your choice to put you first, put your health as a priority in sickness and in health and be proud of yourself. You're doing it!
